Tragedy struck Moscow's Crocus City Hall as chaos erupted during a concert by veteran rock band Picnic, leaving a grim toll of 60 individuals dead and over 100 injured. The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the horrific attack, asserting that its fighters targeted "a large gathering" on the outskirts of Moscow before retreating to safety.

According to Russia's Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, 115 people, including five children, were rushed to hospitals, with one child in critical condition. Of the 110 adult patients, 60 were reported to be in serious condition. The assailants, clad in camouflage uniforms, stormed the venue, unleashing gunfire and hurling grenades or incendiary devices, igniting flames and thick black smoke that engulfed the hall.

Videos capturing the mayhem show scenes of chaos and devastation as emergency responders, aided by three helicopters, battled to extinguish the blaze. The Crocus City Hall, a renowned concert venue capable of hosting thousands, now stands as a somber testament to the senseless violence that unfolded within its walls.

As investigations continue to determine the perpetrators behind this heinous act, the nation mourns the lives lost and stands united in condemnation of such cowardly acts of terrorism.
