In order to discuss and share ideas for a holistic approach to personal as well as community well-being, an International Conference on “Wellbeing: Lifespan Perspectives & Practices for Sustainable Communities” will be held on January 18 & 19, 2019 at Sri Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati, Assam.

It is being jointly organized by MIND India, Institute of Positive Mental Health & Research; Dr Yogi’s Senior Citizen Care Centre; Bahar Foundation; and Periferry – these four organizations have a strong foothold in the field of Mental Health, health, Palliative Care, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Art & Culture respectively.

Wellbeing dwells on prevention rather than on treatment; on flourishing rather than on illness and on strengths rather than on weaknesses. This approach enables individuals, communities and organisations to thrive, thereby enhancing quality of life. This conference would like to explore the different perspectives and practices of wellbeing to reach sustainability of communities across the life span development of human beings.

Delegates and speakers will be from United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and different parts of India. The delegates will be mainly practitioners in the field of health, mental health, academics, social entrepreneurs, and researchers.
