With a purpose to support the most vulnerable section of people in Arunachal Pradesh, the Deepak Nabam Living Home was established on September 11, 2005 by Deepak Nabam and his wife, Protima in Itanagar, Papum Pare district.

From assisting the mentally and physically challenged to aiding victims of drug addiction, terminal illness, domestic violence, and human trafficking, their impact on rehabilitation has been profound, with remarkably low mortality and relapse rates over the years.

Without any external funding, the Deepak Nabam Living Home had a humble beginning, starting its operations out of thatched houses. They continue to provide invaluable services till date with utmost dedication and sincerity. The NGO often hosts medical camps, bringing together expert professionals to address various disabilities both within their facilities and across the region.

Deepak’s own personal experiences of being socially neglected, has inspired him to assist those in need, and it has been the driving force behind the consistent operations of the Living Home. Their commitment to uphold the needs of the marginal section of the society has been recognized by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, designating them as a "Half Way Home" under Section 52 of the PWD Act, 1995, in 2020. The NGO was also awarded with the "Vayoshreshtha Samman" in October 2021.

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt. General KT Parnaik, has also visited the NGO and commended it for its service. This official endorsement strengthens their ability to continue serving the most unfortunate among us with true humanity and compassion.

Today, the Deepak Nabam Living Home stands as a testament of empathy and compassion, striving to build a more inclusive and supportive community for all with their proactive care approach.
