37th Statehood Day Celebration of Arunachal Pradesh (2023)

1.    Anjaw 


Anjaw celebrated 37 years of statehood by Deputy Commissioner, Shri Talo Jerang, gracing the occasion at Kibithoo and unfurling the national flag of India in the presence of military and other officials, along with the general public. The event showcased sports, cultural programs, and other entertainment.


2.    Changlang  

The 37th Statehood Day celebrations were observed at Changlang Headquarters with the celebration starting with the addressing of the Chief Guest Shri Mengpa Haisa, ZPM

changlang block, who also unfurled the national flag in the presence of Shri Sunny K Singh (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Changlang, among other; followed by entertainment and felicitation activities. Stalls of different departments under the District Administration, Government of Arunachal Pradesh were also set up on the premises.


3.    Dibang Valley

Anini observed the celebration of 37th Statehood Day with flag hoisting, cultural programs and felicitation among other activities in the presence of important bureaucrats and other eminent officials.


4.    East Kameng 





Shri Doba Lamnio, Zilla Parishad Chairperson (ZPC) of East Kameng district unfurled the national flag and addressed the crowd at Seppa Helipad ground in the presence of HoDs, Zilla Parishad members among others, in the joyful occasion of 37th Statehood Day. Several entertainment activities were organised and performed by the people as well as the Chief Guest felicitated the merits.

 

   5.  East Siang 


    

The 37th Statehood Day was celebrated with much fervour in the Jawaharlal Nehru College ground, Pasighat. The flag was hoisted by the ADC, Shri Tatdo Borang, in the presence of Pasighat East MLA, Shri Kaling Moyong; PMC Chief Councillor, Okiam Moyong Borang among other important dignitaries. Certificates of Appreciation were handed to the merits as well as a book “Ngilman Kilaju” translating to 'Let us laugh' by Er. Tashiram Pertin was released.


6.    Kamle

At the Govt. Sec. School in Dollungmukh, the 37th Statehood Day was observed, and the flag was raised by Smti Nido Aruni bini ZPM (1-Tamen Dollungmukh). The day featured a number of lovely cultural performances.


     7.Kra Daadi

    The occasion of the 37th Statehood Day of Arunachal Pradesh was celebrated with much grandeur by a flag hoisting ceremony, unfurled by the Zila Parishad Member as a Chief Guest, in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner and other officials of the district. The day also incorporated different activities like a parade (including women SGHs, school students, police etc), felicitation and cultural program, along with exhibition stalls at Palin.


    8.Kurung Kumey


    • Statehood day was celebrated in Koloriang, and the national flag was unfurled by ZPC, Shri Dare Mada in the presence of DC Kurung Kumey, Shri Bengia Nighee. The ZPC inaugurated the SHG-run stalls for the Department of Agriculture. Gaon Buras, police officers, government representatives, and members of the public also attended the event and witnessed the celebration.


      9.Lepa Rada



      Honourable Minister Shri Gokar Basar graced the 37th statehood day celebration at Leparada as a Chief Guest and hoisted the Indian flag accompanied by the presence of DC Smt. Mamata Riba, other officials of the district, and the public attended the event. The celebration witnessed stalls showcasing local products, cultural programs, felicitation, and sports among other activities. HMLA, Gokar Basar was also conferred with the 'best player' in a friendly Volleyball match.


      10.     Lohit

      The 37th Statehood Day was celebrated at Jubilee ground, Tezu where DC Lohit, Shri Shashvat Saurabh unfurled the tricolour National Flag, and addressed the crowd against illicit opium cultivation and to avail the benefits of Skill Development Programs. Tractors were also provided to the beneficiaries by the DC under the Sub-Mission Agriculture Farm Mechanization scheme.


      11.Longding


       The 37th statehood day was celebrated in Longding where HMLA 59th Longding, Pumao AC graced as the Chief Guest and hoisted the flag. The event venue had assorted stalls put up by the different departments under the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and the program also showcased cultural entertainment, followed by a felicitation ceremony.


      12.Lower Dibang Valley 


      The 37th Statehood Day celebrations in Roing, Lower Dibang Valley district observed ZPC, Shri Tony Borang hoisting the National Flag, in the presence of DC, Smt Soumya Saurabh, ZPM Rajen Mickrow, other dignitaries, government officials and the common crowd. The day witnessed the launch of a pocket brochure on tourism, cultural competition, a felicitation ceremony and a plantation drive in the compound of the Circuit house. 


      13.Lower Siang   

      Arunachal's 37th Statehood Day was observed by felicitating the winners of the 2nd Departmental Sports Meet held from 18 to 20 February at Chidu Chigo ground, Likabali organised by the District Administration in collaboration with the District Football Association, Lower Siang.

         

      14.Lower Subansiri

    Arunachal Pradesh's 37th Statehood Day was celebrated in the Padi Yubbe Indoor Stadium in Ziro. As the Chief Guest, Shri Bamin Nyime DC Ziro unfurled the tricolour, which was followed by a performance of vibrant dances by several NGOs in the presence of Shri Tage Tada, a retired director of research and library, and Shri Taku Chatung, General Secretary of the Tanii Supung Dukung (TSD) amongst others.


    15.Namsai


    At Namsai, the 37th Statehood Day was observed with great fanfare. The national flag was raised by ZPC, Namsai Nang Urmila Mancheykhun in front of a sizable crowd of people. The Chief Guest flagged off 6 commercial vehicles from the Namsai and Chongkham Block as part of the AGEY (Arunachal Grameen Express Yojana), and the celebration witnessed several activities including a bike rally, singing and dancing among others.


    16. Papum Pare


    Arunachal Pradesh Statehood day was celebrated at Papum Pare Dist, Yupia with great zeal. The celebration was attended by ADC Shri Tabang Bodung who hoisted the flag as the Chief Guest. The cultural program started with an opening song 'Arunachal Hamara' by the HoDs.

     

    17.    Shi Yomi


    Mechuka observed the 37th Statehood Day celebration at General Ground with colourful cultural items displayed and performed by the locals, along with the unfurling of the flag and addressing the crowd by the Chief Guest.


    18.    Siang 


    Smty Osi Mibang, ZPC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest in the statehood day celebration and unfurled the flag in Boleng general ground on the 37th Arunachal Pradesh Statehood Day Celebration. The Training and Awareness Program on Millets was launched by Shri Atul Tayeng DC, Siang District as part of the International Year of Millet 2023. Chief Guest and DC also presented certificates to the successful participants of DAY-NULM, as well as identity cards and vending certificates to beneficiaries under SVANIDHI Scheme. 


    19.Tawang

    The 37th statehood day of Arunachal Pradesh state was celebrated in the Tawang district. Zila Chairperson, Tawang  Leki Gombu unfurled the national flag at the district headquarters followed by showcasing beautiful traditional dance and song, followed by felicitation.


    20.    Tirap    


     The 37th Statehood Day was celebrated with much zeal at Khonsa, Tirap District where the tricolour was unfurled by Wanghong Panka, ZPM, Kaimai village, in the presence of several important dignitaries and general masses, followed by the cultural program, tug-of-war among the officials were conducted including other activities.


     21.Upper Siang


    The 37th Statehood Day was celebrated at the general ground, Yingkiong where the ZMP Geku, Nyong Panyang, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and unfurled the national flag in the presence of DC Hage Lailang, HoDs, other officials and the general public. ZPM and DC distributed a Certificate of Appreciation, followed by mementoes and a cash award of Rs.5000.

    The celebration also showcased different varieties of millet crops produced in the district to promote the celebration of the International Year of Millets. Various entertainment and showcasing of cultural items were observed including a skit play, tug-of-war etc.


    22. Upper Subansiri

    As a part of the 37th Statehood Day celebration, a mushroom production training programme was launched at the Arjun-Urja Vocational Skill Training Centre in Daporijo by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.


    23. West Kameng

    In celebration of the 37th anniversary of statehood, the tricolour was flown at the ADC office by the Deputy Commissioner, Dirang, in front of the Gaon Buras, department heads, and staff.

     

    24. West Siang


    The 37th Statehood Day Celebration at Kamba, West Siang District Arunachal Pradesh was celebrated with much enthusiasm. At the occasion, numerous cultural and traditional values were promoted and put on display.


    25. Capital Complex

    The Capital of Arunachal Pradesh celebrated its 37th Statehood Day with much grandeur and fervour at I.G Park, Itanagar. Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest on her maiden visit to the state, in the presence of several eminent dignitaries including HCM Pema Khandu, along with government officials and the local denizens. The event saw vibrant traditional cultural and awareness activities, and exhibition stalls set up by different departments under the District Administration, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. On the following 2nd day of the celebration, the aspiring local artists of the state showcased their performances at the event venue.
