In a concerted effort to enhance road safety awareness, Arunachal Pradesh recently celebrated the 35th National Road Safety Month, showcasing the commitment of various districts towards creating a safer and more responsible road environment. The events, organized by District Administrations, involved diverse activities aimed at educating and engaging the public, with each district contributing uniquely to the overarching theme of 'Road Safety Hero.'

Capital Complex: The celebrations kicked off with a vibrant mass rally at Akashdeep to Tennis Court, IG Park. Participants, including students, government officials, and the general public, came together to raise awareness through road safety slogans and banners, emphasizing the theme 'Road Safety Hero.'

Anjaw: Hayuliang Market area in Anjaw witnessed the distribution of pamphlets on Motor Vehicles Act sections, road safety, and responsible driving, contributing to increased knowledge among the local population.

Bomdila, West Kameng District: Bomdila hosted an awareness program featuring a road safety pledge, emphasizing the collective responsibility of the community to ensure safer roads.

Changlang: Several individuals in Changlang received pamphlets detailing road safety rules and guidelines, fostering a culture of responsible driving.

Daporijo, Upper Subansiri: Participants in Daporijo took a road safety pledge, underscoring the importance of personal commitment to safer roads.

Lemmi, Pakke Kesang: A road safety awareness campaign was conducted in Lemmi, Pakke Kesang, emphasizing the significance of adherence to traffic rules.

Pasighat, East Siang: The District Road Safety Committee, in collaboration with AAPPTF East Siang Units, conducted various road safety month activities, promoting awareness and responsible road behavior.

Kra Daadi: Participants in Kra Daadi took a solemn pledge to uphold traffic rules, demonstrating their dedication and resolve to contribute to road safety.

Likabali, Lower Siang: Road safety campaigns were conducted at various locations in Lower Siang District, reaching out to communities and fostering awareness.

Lohit: Pamphlets containing road safety guidelines were distributed, and a road safety pledge was administered in Lohit, emphasizing the importance of responsible driving.

Longding: Conducted by District Administration and Traffic Cell APP, Longding's events included a school awareness program and the distribution of pamphlets on road safety rules and guidelines.

Lower Dibang Valley: Awareness programs at schools and public places, coupled with pamphlet distribution and intensive motor vehicle checking drives, aimed at promoting responsible driving.

Namsai: Observation of Road Safety Month/Week in Namsai included a bike rally, celebration program focusing on school values, and free medical checkups for drivers.

Papumpare- Yupia: Organized by Papumpare Rural Police, road safety awareness programs in Doimukh township involved pamphlet distribution and a drawing and essay competition at Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Doimukh.

Shi Yomi: The Department of Transport in Shi Yomi engaged students in impactful initiatives, fostering road safety awareness.

Tawang: Glimpses of a road safety awareness program at Tawang highlighted the district's commitment to promoting safe driving practices.

Tirap - Khonsa: Road Safety Awareness campaigns across the town and students taking the oath to the Road Safety Pledge marked the celebrations in Tirap, Khonsa.

Upper Siang: Traffic Awareness cum Motor Vehicle checking at all Police Stations & Out Posts without fines, coupled with driver briefings on safety, aimed at enhancing road safety awareness.

West Siang: Aalo in West Siang witnessed a Road Safety Awareness drive, reinforcing the commitment to safer roads through a collective road safety pledge.

The collective efforts of the various districts in Arunachal Pradesh during the 35th National Road Safety Month reflect a shared commitment to creating safer roads through awareness, education, and community involvement.
